The newest addition to the Jamesville-Dewitt High School faculty is Veronica Budelmann. She took over for Colleen Kenney, who took an administrative position in another district. She is teaching Anatomy & Physiology and Biology. She first started working here in October.
Budelmann is originally from Nebraska and spent her whole life there, including attending college. After college, she and her husband settled in Delaware for a couple of years. Soon after, her husband got a job position here in Central New York. Since she moved, she has been teaching for over 20 years all throughout Central New York.
Throughout her teaching career, Budelmann has found that her favorite subjects to teach are Biology and Anatomy & Physiology. She also said she likes to teach upper middle school and high school students. She says she especially loves the science department at J-D.
She says she loves it here. She also has lots of respect for the students and staff. She said it’s no surprise to her how welcoming and united the J-D community is because both of her daughters attended J-D and loved it.
Budelmann says she knows that the students have a lot of school spirit and she’s looking forward to upcoming events that showcase the students. One of the biggest sporting events she’s looking forward to is the upcoming basketball season and the rest of the football season. Welcome to J-D, Mrs. Budelmann!
