If you are in need of a dress, your best bet to find one is at the famous Clothes Closet, run by Testing Center supervisor Sabrina Scott. In the Clothes Closet, you can find sequin dresses, beaded dresses, long dresses, short dresses, silky dresses, flowy dresses, and corset dresses. They also have some suits and shirts. If you want to save your money, whether it be for college or a car, the Clothes Closet is a great place to start.
In previous years, the Clothes Closet has not had the fortune of having as many dresses. Scott says, “At this point, we have so so many dresses that I have now reached out to Syracuse City schools, CBA, and [Bishop] Grimes to see if there are any needy students at those schools, because I have over 100 dresses and I would love to gift a person a dress that is unable to get their own.”
Scott and Physics teacher Elise Jutzeler took over the Clothes Closet two years ago when former gym teacher Cara Goldberg left. “We just took it over, but it has been going on for years, and it’s mostly just for students that really just want to save their money,” said Scott.
To access the closet, see Ms. Scott in the Testing Center in room W01, where you can find over 100 dresses for free. And even better, once you choose a dress, it’s yours to keep unless you choose to donate it back! You can email Ms. Scott at [email protected] for more information.
