What is your favorite memory at J-D?

I think my favorite memories are all the student events I’ve gone to. All the musicals, all the drama shows, all the games. I really enjoy seeing the whole community together celebrating student achievement. Those are my favorite memories. There’s not one in particular — all of them collectively.

What do you hope the next principal of J-DHS will bring to the school? Is the next principal confirmed yet?

I do not know. I’m not at all involved with the hiring process, so I don’t know the candidates. I do know that whoever comes in, I’ll be as helpful as I can be in the transition. I want everybody at this school to be kind to the person and welcoming, which I’m sure they will be. The next person will do a great job and bring J-D to the next level. I’m confident of that.

What would you like to say to the J-D students, parents, and teachers you’ve worked with for the past two decades?

It has been my great privilege and honor to serve this community. Serving this community has been an amazing blessing to me and to my family. My gratitude toward all the students and all the families of J-D is boundless. I’m really speechless. It’s just wonderful, wonderful people.

How long do you expect to be the principal at CBA before you fully retire?

I don’t know. I have no idea.

Is your new principal position at CBA going to affect who you root for in J-D vs. CBA athletic events?

I will always bleed red.
