For Fun in the New Year, Try the Board Game Club

While many of us have been quite stressed out by the whole hybrid learning plan, clubs and extracurricular activities make it a little more enjoyable. Recently, Ciara O’Donnell created a Board Game Club. As of right now, it all must be virtual, but there are plenty of fun “board games” you can play with your friends virtually.

The club meets every Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. after school via voice call on Discord. Each week, the game is chosen based on which games everyone is most interested in playing. They play games like Risk, Code Names, and Skribbl. Playing games like these with others is a really fun way to relieve some stress before taking on homework and other after school obligations.

While they are currently meeting virtually due to COVID-19 regulations, the club will normally meet in room RO8. This is where they’ll be able to play more traditional board games when they finally get to meet in person.

To join the Board Game Club, you can sign up via Remind by texting the number 81010 with the message “@jdgames.” You can also find more information through their Instagram account @jdboardgamesclub.
