DeWitt N.Y. The Jamesville-DeWitt girls basketball team earned their third straight win on Friday night, beating the Fulton Red Raiders 58-16.

The Red Rams jumped out to an early lead, and were up 20-4 after the first quarter. Although their offense wasn’t quite as prolific in the second quarter, they still led by a wide margin at the half.

The second half was much of the same, with plenty of transition buckets for J-D and plenty of turnovers for Fulton. Behind their stout defense, the Red Rams were able to cruise to a 42-point win.

Throughout the game, the Jamesville-Dewitt’s defense was simply too much for Fulton to handle. Using a combination of a press, a zone, and a man-to-man, J-D was able to hold the Red Raiders to an average of four points a quarter.

The Red Rams’ were led by star junior Momo LaClair. She scored 16 points, including a highlight reel driving layup past multiple Fulton defenders.

Junior Kailey McKenna also provided on offense, scoring 8 points off the bench.

Jamesville-DeWitt will look to continue their winning streak on January 3rd, when they will take on St. Mary’s.
