What makes your slate unique?

Our slate is unique because we want to get feedback from our peers on how to best serve them and make the school year enjoyable for them. We are hoping to get everyone involved in J-D to make the community a more enjoyable environment for all, by letting students have a say in what happens. Another thing that makes our slate unique is the number of school activities we are involved in. We all play sports, are involved in clubs, and love to join school fundraisers to support J-D. In the future, we hope to help everyone have fun, while also being involved in activities. Finally, we have a great team dynamic and work together well so we would be the best fit to get good projects accomplished.

What are some of your plans for the school year?

Next school year, we plan to do many things that will potentially result in uniting the J-D students as a community. We would host all kinds of fun activities for a variety of people with different interests. We also plan on doing whatever possible to make everyone’s year the best it can be by making them feel loved and comfortable in the school setting. Additionally, we want to promote J-D pride as best as we can by holding spirit weeks and fundraisers. Slate 3 also notices the effect that poor mental health has on students, especially with all the stress outside of school. Our plan would be to continuously check in on our students, and assure them that there is always someone to talk to, including ourselves and others in the school atmosphere. Also, we feel it is important for students to have a voice in the decisions made, so we would always be sure to get their input, and definitely keep them updated and informed on any changes/plans we make.

Why should people vote for your slate?

People should vote for Slate 3 because we are all committed and ready to take up this job of representing the Class of 2025. We have many ideas that will benefit the school a great amount and also allow students to enjoy their year.

What will be your main goal as slate officers if you win?

If we win this election, one of our main goals would be to make sure that next year is one of the best. Whether it’s our planning fun activities, or making sure that everyone is comfortable in the school environment, we want everyone to feel involved and a part of this school.
