By: Fu-Mei Tung  (童富梅)

The Chinese Club of Jamesville-DeWitt High School is a student- guided organization
that embraces any and all pupils interested in celebrating, learning and sharing the
Chinese language and culture. We focus on promoting the cultural awareness and
diversity of the JD High School population, primarily by offering opportunities for
students to experience Chinese culture. Additionally, the Chinese Club Strives to
provide a welcoming and supportive environment for incoming Chinese language
students. With the intent of aiding and encouraging them to become active members of the Jamesville-DeWitt community.

The Chinese Club holds fund raising activities to support the Club activities, such as selling Chinese food items after school. Everyone especially enjoys the Chinese dumpling sales. The activities the club has supported in the past are a field trip to the Lantern Festival at the New York State Fair Grounds and Chinese dinners at local area authentic Chinese restaurants.

The Chinese Club sells dumplings, bubble tea, mango juice and more at J-D Day.
