The following press release was written by Jordan Ristau, Co-President of Art In Action Club at J-DHS.

Art in Action is our school art club where students can come together and express themselves creatively while also being with other students. The co-presidents of the club are Jordan Ristau and Elsa Hardt. Our co-vice presidents are Nate Bourcy and Kali Leslie. For the first few months of this year, the club members will dedicate their time to making small art pieces that can be sold in an art show where all of the proceeds go to planting trees. This show will be held in November and the members of the club will also help volunteer time to plan and organize it. After the show, time can be spent working on projects of people’s choice and just spending time with other club members. We hope anyone will feel encouraged to join the club, artistic ability is unimportant. We want everyone to feel welcome and express themselves in any way they prefer. Our club’s goal is to raise lots of money in the art shows that will be run throughout the year. Also to provide a community for those passionate about art. We hope everyone feels welcome to come make friends and create some great art for a good cause!
