What makes your slate unique?
Slate 2 has people running with different talents and experiences in different parts of the school. Our different experiences in school will help us target activities for everyone that everyone can enjoy or take part in. it gives us a wider view of students’ wants and needs so we can aim for making everyone included. We all love to have fun and love getting to know people and their interests.
What are some of your plans for the school year?
Some of our plans for the school year are to address a wide variety of current issues that affect all students like how to reduce the number of fights at our school, how students’ voices can be heard by the administration, and how we as students can safely stand up for what we believe in. In doing this, we will create a safer and more open community for all at J-D.
Why should people vote for your slate?
We believe that people should vote for our slate for a variety of reasons. First, our group is filled with many different personalities! we each come from different backgrounds and have different interests! almost everybody in our Slate is on the High Honor Roll and does sports or other extracurricular activities. Everybody in our group is extremely understanding of what it’s like to be a hard-working student. We all prioritize student mental health and other students’ wants and needs. We are all extremely diligent and everything we say we know that we will attempt to get done!
What will be your main goal as slate officers if you win?
Our main goals officers would be to not only have fundraisers to make lots of money but have fundraisers where people can really enjoy themselves. Our slate believes that the student body should have a choice and what events should be run! To do this we would have polls and votes to see what our class would like to do instead of just having fundraisers to primarily focus on raising money. Some ideas that we had were carnival nights, field days, food booths, donation centers, raising more money at sporting events, bingo and basket tonight, and more. We would also take input from the class to see what they would enjoy as well! These events were chosen because they Are not only very fun but they could be run for cheap and we could make lots of money for our class as well as make a fun experience for everyone. We have many other great ideas just like this one and hope that you will be able to see them all in action!
