Jamesville-DeWitt High School’s Drama Club will be having a virtual show this year. The plays are recorded and ready to be shown, and soon, they will be available to everyone. However, the process of making the plays was not as smooth as it seems.
After interviewing sophomore Jasmine Ho, I learned that not everything was quite as it seems. According to Ho, “There are two scenes in a play where it looks like I’m running into the screen, but really, I’m butt scooting across my bed.” So if you’re watching the play, “I Am Your Android,” by Connie Zhang, be sure to look out for those two scenes of Ho “running.”
Another interview with an anonymous student informed me that the editing process was not smooth. The student told me, “It was impossible to concentrate when I had a jar of cookies staring me down, begging me to eat them.” But despite the cookie dilemma causing some unexpected procrastination, all the plays are ready to be shown.
