Girls Golf
The Jamesville-DeWitt High School Varsity Girls Golf team had a succesfull season this year. The girls finished with an unblemished record of 14-0 in their dual matches. They were league champions and six girls advanced to sectionals: juniors Elizabeth Redmore, Alex Catanzarite, Zoe Pipines, along with senior Mary Kate Scheftic and sophomore Jungyun Kim all were able to score low enough at four matches to qualify for sectionals where they placed fourth in the large school division. Freshman Lena Jones advanced all the way to states where she tied for 72 place. Redmore said that their success was “unexpected (because) we lost a lot of seniors.” “I was surprised because we didn’t have a lot of experience,” said Redmore, who looks to lead the team next year to another successful season.
