Jamesville- DeWitt High School Junior Varsity girls teams started their seasons strong this school year. Between Cross Country, Soccer, and Volleyball, each team has powered through the fall season with winning records.

JV girls soccer ended their season with a record of 9-4. “Our record wasn’t as good as it was last year, but we worked hard and I’m proud of it,” said sophomore Amelia Zumbuhl. Although the JV girls soccer team will be losing players next year to Varsity soccer, the eighth graders coming up next year will bring lots of talent to the team.

The JV girls volleyball team is finishing up their season with only one game left. Carrying a record of 8-4, they hope to end the season with even more wins. The girls this year have lots of spirit and energy, and enjoy cheering on their “big sisters” on the Varsity volleyball team.

Girls Cross Country finished their regular season on Oct 17. Being undefeated, the girls are striving to continue their winning streak at sectionals. With lots of team parties, the Cross Country girls have a special bond that many runners described as family.  “It’s a family kind of vibe,” senior Emma Buck explained.

While the Junior Varsity Girls soccer season is over now, the JV cross country and volleyball teams are continuing on with their seasons, hoping to end off on a good note. Cross Country sectionals are on Nov 3, and the next volleyball game is Oct 19.
