Boys Lacrosse

This year the Jamesville-DeWitt Varsity Boys Lacrosse team ended their season 18-2. After making it to the State Semifinals for the team’s fourth year in a row, they lost to Victor High School, 11-9. The J-D team had fought through injuries all season and still managed to defend their sectional and regional titles. However, the team will be losing 11 seniors including five starters, but hope to continue their success to next years team.

Girls Lacrosse

Under new head coach, Dennis Kennedy, the Jamesville-DeWitt Varsity Girls Lacrosse team ended with their best season yet. For the first time, the girls team made it to the Carrier Dome for the sectional finals game against Watertown High School. Their loss against Watertown may have not been a great end to a season, but what they had accomplished throughout was more important than any game. The team’s final record was 11-7, but with seven seniors leaving, six of them being starters the team will have to work hard to continue their success for next year

Boys and Girls Track

The Jamesville-DeWitt Varsity Boys Track and Field team ended third in sectionals, and has one senior, Dylan Volk, advancing to the state meet for triple jump. The Varsity Girls team won sectionals and has freshman Alex Payne advancing to the state meet for the Pentathlon. The Pentathlon includes long jump, 100 meter hurdles, high jump, shot put, and 800 meter run.
