Two of Jamesville-DeWitt High School’s 2014 graduates are already getting the chance of a life time. Syracuse University freshmen Megan Murphy and Libby Weber are involved in a contest to earn the opportunity to sing the national anthem at the Carrier Dome before a mens basketball game. The game will take place on Jan. 11, and the Orangemen will play Florida State University. To win the competition, Murphy and Weber need the J-D community’s votes. To vote, go here:  http://cuse.com/sports/2014/11/14/HondaCuseAnthem.aspx

The video of Murphy and Weber is the sixth one down, the only video with two people. To cast your vote, select the girls’ names in the voting panel located on the right of the screen. Voting ends on Dec. 13.

UPDATE: Thanks to everyone’s votes, Murphy and Weber won the compeition and now will fulfill their dreams of singing the national anthem together at the dome.
