November is here! That means another month filled with brand new releases in film and television.
In director Tim Miller’s Terminator: Dark Fate, Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger, reprise their roles from past Terminator films as Sarah Connor and The Terminator, more specifically, the T-800. In this film, Sarah returns to help a cyborg-like human, Grace, protect an innocent girl, Dani, from getting killed by a Terminator that was sent from the future to kill her. Sarah agrees to help them, with the help of T-800, because a while ago, she was in the same position that Dani is in currently.
The long awaited sequel to Stanley Kubrick’s 1980 horror film, The Shining is Mike Flanagan’s Doctor Sleep. In this movie, we follow a grown Danny Torrance, who meets a young girl who can “shine”, just like he can. He must protect her from an evil cult who go by the name “The True Knot”, who take the powers of people who can “shine” and kill them. Doctor Sleep hits theaters November 8th.
Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell return for the second installment in the Frozen franchise, Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck’s, Frozen 2. In the new installment, Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven leave Arendelle to travel to a new mysterious land to help Elsa discover the origin of her powers. They end up meeting lots of new people and discovering things they never even knew about Elsa and her powers. This sequel should be very entertaining for Disney fans and the fans of the Frozen universe. Frozen 2 arrives in theaters November 22.
The third season of the critically acclaimed Netflix original show, The Crown, will be out this month. In this season, we follow the relationship of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip. This season of The Crown is a little bit different from the previous two. Emmy Award winning actress, Claire Foy, who played Queen Elizabeth in seasons one and two of the show, is not a part of the third season. Instead, the part of Queen Elizabeth ll was offered to Academy Award winner, Olivia Colman. Can Colman play Elizabeth ll as good as Foy did? Find out when The Crown season three hits Netflix on November 17.
Season four of the hit Adult Swim show, Rick and Morty, premieres November 10. In this season, we follow Rick Sanchez’s adventures with his son, Morty Smith, once again. This season consists of five episodes, which is fewer than any other season of the show. Rick and Morty season four premieres November 10 on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim.
Golden Globe winner, Jennifer Aniston, and Academy Award winner, Reese Witherspoon, reunite again in an all new show that’s exclusive to Apple TV, The Morning Show. Aniston and Witherspoon star as Alex Levy, a morning news anchor, and Bradley Jackson, her co-host.
